“Highsnobiety is a daily online lifestyle magazine and news site, primarily reporting on sneakers, streetwear fashion, and street art.”
#4 – District MTV
One of the best things to come out of the MTV brand in years (alongside Catfish!) District MTV is a fashion and news base site. We can’t get enough of it due to the exclusive fashion editorials they post weekly. District MTV fills the hole that weird-but-wonderful Super Super magazine left in our heavy hearts. Inspiration overload!
“District MTV, the home of pop style, is style through the MTV lens. We curate new trends and curate fresh content from global tastemakers, deliver unrivalled access to people and events, unearth new talent and delve into MTV archive.”
#3 – TLG Magazine
The streetwear industry has always been a male-dominated one, but in the past few years, more females are coming to the forefront and demanding a voice. TLG magazine provides this, as one of our favourite, female run streetwear mags right now. They have both a print magazine and online version which provides well written brand reviews, industry news and a large dose daily inspiration, so head over to the website now to get your fix.
“TLG Magazine is a daily updated womens streetwear and lifestyle magazine targeted at women. We focus on what’s trending in art, fashion and music and strive to deliver exciting and interesting content to our readers on a daily basis.”
#2 – The Unisex Mode
Probably the best idea for a blog we’ve ever come across – founded by Kitty Cowell, The Unisex Mode is street culture blog focused on women wearing streetwear. With an all- female team of contributers like Kitty, Maria Pizzeria and Juice Gee, this is our one stop for inspiration on how to style up menswear garments on women. We see this blog taking off in a big way, so go and give them a follow on Tumblr!
“Welcome to The Unisex Mode! We are a style and culture blog. We focus on unisex streetwear, street culture and pop culture.”
Without a doubt the coolest girl in the world and our ultimate favourite, Va$htie is a huge inspiration point to the Educate Elevate team. Delve into her creative mind by keeping check on her blog, the place she posts about her influences, parties and upcoming projects.
“Vashtie Kola is truly a renaissance woman – New York based Director, Filmmaker, Artist, Designer, Creative Consultant and DJ. She has cultivated the Downtown New York City scene for over a decade as a style icon, but her curatorial outreach and influence spans worldwide.”
