You might have spotted her on the front page of our website, or seen us stalking her instagram, she’s the fashion blogger with the street edge – let us introduce you to October’s flygirl RISA…
Hey Risa! Thanks for being our flygirl of the month! What made you decide to start blogging?
Well, I started mainly because I wanted to start something new that was productive and fun, show people my style journey and really get more into the fashion industry which I have a massive passion for.
How would you describe your signature style?
I would have to say its fun, edgy and chic. Not the average girly girl, really daring and bold.
What labels do you love to wear?
I’m not really into big brands and labels but I love online and underground brands such as Illustrated People, OMWEEKEND, Shade, Motel Rocks, of course Educate Elevate and high street stores such as American Apparel, Topshop and Urban Outfitters.
Who are your style icons and why?
I have quite a few, I would say Va$htie, SZA, Rihanna, DJ SIOBHANBELL, Lil Debbie. All their styles are all different but are all similar by how bold and fresh it is. The whole rebellious, bad girl attitude really comes through and I love that! It’s edgy but with a touch of femininity.
Va$htie is our favourite girl ever! What would you say is your favourite outfit of all time?
It would have to be my monochrome outfit I wore to london fashion week.
Love that! Go on, tell us your worst fashion faux pas!
When I was younger I had a habit of wearing matching bright t-shirts and shoes. CRINGE!
Footwear of choice?
New Balance, Nike, and of course some leather chunky boots.
Who’s your favourite artist?
I’ve got too many! But at the moment partynextdoor has been a favourite on my playlist.
If you could restyle any badly dressed celebrity who would it be and how would you dress them?
Rita Ora! She gets it slightly wrong sometimes, I would keep her blonde hair but make it bone straight, middle parting, put her in some cami dresses and crop-tops and chunky boots with some dark lips and leather slouch clutches. The edgy look does suit her but less is definitely more.
Who is your favourite twitter follower and why?
Sh’es so damn funny and cool!
She’s dope! Who’s style do you admire (non celeb)
What is your pet hate when it comes to fashion?
Knee length leggings under skirts or shorts, loool like what’s going on there!
Which fashion trend would you ban forever?
Bootcut jeans, so unflattering.
Iris Van Herpen
It’s between Set It Off and Waist Deep
Who would play you in a movie of your life and why?
I would play myself, because that’s who im best at being!
We like that! Tell us your favourite five bloggers:
Lightning Factory, Charlotte Martin, Acid Walrus, Idressmyselff, Inside in -Inside out
One thing that makes you angry:

Describe yourself in five words:

If you could pick any item to wear from the E&E collection which would it be?

What piece of advice would you give people to educate & elevate in life?
