Hey Nick, hi Charlie! When did you start blogging and why?
Nick & Charlie – Well we started Youtube around halfway through this year. We wanted to start ages ago but we never had a camera haha. We mainly just wanted to help people like us, who may not have much money, still find fashionable clothes to wear & to show people who live in Australia that it’s still possible to find unique & stylish clothes. Also Charlie always wanted to put some raps out for fun too.

When did you fall in love with fashion?
Charlie – For me it was when I was real young & started listening to hip hop. I wanted to dress loud & cool like a rapper, my parents couldn’t really afford to buy clothes back then (not like I can now) so I used to get my mum to sew me clothes that mimicked their style. After that I was always into style & fashion.
Nick – When I was in high school & noticed everyone dressing the same, I wanted to find my OWN style & it expanded from there.

When did you first start getting noticed for your style?
Charlie – I started getting noticed in primary school when i’d dress hard out colourful & wear different colour shoes but then it really took over more when me & nick met in high school.
Nick – Yeah back in school when me & Charlie met from there it just escalated.

How would you describe your signature style?
Nick & Charlie – Its really just a mixture of everything but with a heavy 80’s & 90’s influence.

What labels do you love to wear?
Charlie – Educate Elevate, aha Im not that into many labels but I like old school Starter, Nike & Wrangler gear.
Nick – We don’t really notice the labels more just the look & style of the clothes. Its the way you rock the clothes more than anything.

Who are your style icons and why?

Charlie – Some of my biggest would have to be Fresh prince, Kid n play & Andre Agassi . Fresh prince just because he always improvised to make whatever he was wearing look mean fresh. Kid ‘N Play because they both had a sick attitude & made their clothes look individual like their painted custom vests. Lastly Andre Agassi, the dude used to rock the meanest outfits on the court showing up with matching fluro shorts, shoes & headwear!

Nick – Me & Charlie have the a lot of the same icons but I’d probably add to that TLC because of their crazy outfits & the way they customized their clothes to look individual & also Kriss Kross for trying to start something new by turning their clothes back to front, even though it didn’t really seem to catch on that hard out.

What is your favourite outfit of all time?
Charlie – Too many! but my favourite item would be my overalls.
Nick – My favourite is probably these colourful 80s workout pants I have.

What is your worst fashion faux pas?
Charlie – Probably when I was 10 & thought it was cool to wear satin 3XL Fubu & Wu-tang shirts which looked like dresses on me.
Nick – I had this point where I didn’t have cash for new shoes, so the only shoes I was rocking was these white Jordan 6’s that Charlie had already been wearing for 2 years so they were already mad trashed. They had about 6 holes in them & were stained black haha I wore them everywhere. It sucked when it rained too :S

Footwear of choice?
Charlie – Nikes & Docs. But right now Air Force 180 pumps would have to be my favourite.
Nick – My favourite kicks are Jordans & Flight. Me & Charlie share all our shoes anyway but right now I love wearing my custom Jordan 4s.

Who is your favourite artist?
Charlie – I can’t say just one but I’ll limit it to Wu-tang, Biggie, NWA, 2pac, Big L, ATCQ, LONS, Das EFX & Lords Of The Underground.
Nick – I been listening to heaps of Naughty by Nature, Fu-schnickens & Leaders of The New School lately.

If you could restyle any badly dressed celebrity who would it be and
how would you dress them?
Charlie – Gucci Mane. He been dressing like he’s still in high school lately, I’d just tell him to go back to what he was wearing before.
Nick – The guys from Jersey Shore, I’d just get rid of them tacky hats they wear clubbing sometimes.

Who’s style do you admire (non celeb)
Charlie – Definitely be my sister she’s the one that always taught me to be individual & dress the way I want.
Nick – My friend Jet that owns Collective Ensemble in Newtown, freshest middle aged asian out!

Where do you get your influence for style?
Nick – Everywhere! a lot comes from just what I see around me, I’ll just see an item of clothing I’ve never seen anywhere & it’ll give me mad ideas.
Charlie – Yeah as nick said everywhere. I’m constantly getting new influences for my style but a fair bit would probably have to do with hip hop & movies as well. Also its good to have a bro like Nick around because we can always bounce ideas off each other & keep each other motivated & positive.

What is your pet hate when it comes to fashion?

Nick – I just hate when people who see themselves as having mad style, think that makes it ok to hate & diss on others for dressing “mainstream”.
Charlie – I hate people who dress mainstream… haha nah I just hate it when people don’t think an item is fashionable until they see a celebrity wearing it.

Which fashion trend would you ban forever?
Charlie – No hate to the girlies who wear them but i’d ban those shorts that show half their booty cheeks ONLY because I would hate if I had a girlfriend who wore them ! But you single girls please proceed to do your thing.
Nick – Them Croc shoes!

Favourite designer?
Charlie – I don’t keep up with many specific designers but one of my favourites would have to be Tinker Hatfield, the dude that designed most of the earlier Air Jordan series.
Nick – I don’t really have a favourite either but I like the guy who designed Chup Socks, I think his name is Glen Clyde.

Favourite movie?
Charlie – Menace II Society & all Will Ferrell movies but I also love watching strange as documentaries too.
Nick – Shooter.

Who would play you in a movie of your life and why?
Charlie – Wesley Snipes because we share a resemblance 😉
Nick – My dad so he can see what my life was like aha.

What do you miss about the 90s?
Charlie – EVERYTHING ! But mainly 3d Doritos, hip hop & only having 250 Pokemon to worry about catching.
Nick – Everything as well, mostly just being a kid & waking up to cartoons on Saturday morning.

One thing that makes you angry:
Charlie – I really hate bullying with a passion. There’s no excuse for it, people who do it are just low !
Nick – People who diss others who have different style to them whether they dress gothic or wear YOLO people should just let them be, to each is own !

One thing that makes you happy:
Charlie – Life ^.^
Nick – Being excited for the future.

Describe yourself in five words:
Charlie – Umm i’d say friendly, lazy, easy going & scum.
Nick – 6’1, brown skin, single, likes long walks on the beach.

If you could pick any item to wear from the E&E collection which would it be?
Charlie – All of it looks real mean but I like the jackets the best !
Nick – Yeah definitely the jackets & the beanies too.

What piece of advice would you give people to educate & elevate in life?
Nick & Charlie – Keep on doing what you’re doing, it’s a really positive thing & we support it 100%. Don’t let anything stray you from where you want to get to & pay no attention to the critics. We both really appreciate educate & elevate for featuring us in your blog, it was really a privilege for us & we wish you all the best for the future. Can’t wait to see what will be coming out next.

Thanks guys! Make you you check out Nick & Charlie’s youtube channel here.
